Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Finara mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Finara.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Nature of the Service
Finara is a personal finance tracking application designed to help users record, organize, and review financial activity.
Finara:
- Is not a bank or financial institution
- Does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
- Does not guarantee financial outcomes
- Does not ensure accuracy of calculations
- Does not replace professional financial consultation
All alerts, projections, insights, and suggestions are generated algorithmically based on user-input data and are provided for informational purposes only.
You remain solely responsible for all financial decisions made.
3. User Data and Responsibility
At this stage, financial data entered into Finara is stored locally on your device.
You retain ownership of the data you input.
You are solely responsible for:
- The accuracy of your entries
- Securing your device
- Enabling device-level protections (such as passcodes or biometrics)
- Backing up your data where applicable
Finara is not responsible for:
- Data loss
- Device theft
- Unauthorized access
- Corruption of local storage
- Accidental deletion
Future features such as cloud synchronization or account systems may introduce additional terms.
4. Subscriptions and Pricing
Finara offers subscription plans (e.g., monthly and annual) processed through:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
All payments, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled exclusively by the respective store under their own terms.
We reserve the right to:
- Modify subscription pricing at any time
- Change subscription features or benefits
- Introduce new subscription tiers
- Discontinue plans
Price changes apply prospectively and will not affect the remaining duration of an active subscription period already purchased.
Continued use of the Service after pricing changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated pricing.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Attempt to extract source code
- Bypass subscription mechanisms
- Interfere with security-related features
- Use automation, bots, or scraping techniques
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to disrupt or overload the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Finara - including the name, branding, design, logos, software, and features - are the exclusive property of Finara.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.
You may share screenshots or publicly reference the app provided you do not claim ownership or misrepresent affiliation.
7. Service Availability and Modifications
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee:
- Continuous availability
- Error-free performance
- Compatibility with all devices
- Accuracy or completeness of calculations
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time without prior notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finara shall not be liable for:
- Financial losses
- Lost profits
- Lost savings
- Business interruption
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Data loss
- Errors in financial projections
- Device-level security breaches
In any event, Finara's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Finara in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
If you have not made any payments, Finara shall have no financial liability.
Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finara from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of:
- Your misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Decisions made based on financial insights generated by the app
10. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis.
You waive the right to participate in class actions or collective proceedings.
Arbitration shall be conducted under internationally recognized arbitration rules in a neutral jurisdiction.
Each party shall bear its own legal costs unless otherwise determined by the arbitrator.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by generally accepted principles of international commercial law, without regard to conflict of law rules.
12. Force Majeure
Finara shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, governmental actions, or third-party service failures.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14. No Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
